Our Heated Birthing Pool is not normally available by the week but after several requests we have decided to offer also on a weekly basis with a minimium of two weeks hire. no maximium hire period. Pay as you go after the first two weeks, extra weeks £95.

These heated pools are very popular, so we strongly recommend you book your pool as soon as you have deicided on a waterbirth with a heated pool.
Why a heated pool? Heated Birthing Pools are ideal for Mums who are expecting a fast labour or who wish to have a pool set-up and ready to use in the weeks before birth. If you suffer with backache or SPD, it can be particularly beneficial to use.
The pools are larger than our non-heated ones and have wood panelling, padded rim, built in heater and filter system - also a lockable soft cover (very important expecially if you have other children or pets).
Due to the size of the pool it is best placed it on a solid stone/concrete floor - a conservatory is ideal. It weighs when full 1500kg.
This pool will take you approximately 45 minutes to assemble a little longer than our non-heated pools, please be aware you will need to be DIY minded! To assemble, simply slot the panels togeather add the liner, connect the pipes and you are ready to fill. A full photo set-up guide is included for ease. Filling time will depend on your water flow rate. You need to fill with hand hot water (maximium 40 degrees). Please make sure your boiler is adequate for this. It could take 1-2 hours to fill. The temperature control will maintain it constantly. For birth the temperature needs to be 36-37 degrees but you can labour in the pool from 32 degrees if you wish. It is important not to overheat during pregnancy and labour. Our pools maintain the temperature that you choose it to be.
We recommend having it in place and set-up from your 37th week, which is the earliest you can have a baby at home in most areas.
The filter and cleaning agents keep the pool clean during the weeks of use. New filters are fitted for each hire. The pool cleaning agents do not contain any harsh chemicals. We use a product called Aquafinesse which is enviromentally friendly. The pool comes complete with an emptying pump and 10m hose. Complete instructions on how and when to use the cleaning agents/chemicals are also included. These are essential to keep the water clean. Water after 24 hours is not fresh and will start to grow bacteria, hence the need for the chemicals. This pool works in much the same way as a jacuzzi - although our pools don't have bubbles!
NEW - BUBBLES - if you would like to order the extra option of having bubbles like a jacuzzi with your pool please select below. £35 hire. This includes everything to turn your pool into a jacuzzi with options of bubbles on or off. Use bubbles pre and post labour, under advice from your midwife, and use without for labour and birth.
We can collect the pool next working day when you call or same day if you call before 11am Monday to Friday.

IOW Pool and Stool hire prices are slightly cheaper as we do not have to subsidise shipping costs. Prices will be corrected at checkout (-£20 to -£55 depending on which product). You are welcome to collect from Ryde, or we can arrange personal delivery and collection after the birth. Please book on-line to secure your pool. Call us for full delivery price and details. If you are unsure whether to arrange collection / delivery, this can be decided nearer the time depending on your circumstances, we are quite flexible. We also offer an IOW set-up service for those of you who would like a waterbirth adviser (Samantha Jayne) to come to your home please see details in the top menu "delivery info and set-up service".
* We send the most universal tap adapters we can find. Should these not fit your chosen tap, we suggest trying your local DIY store for others. The hose we send is a standard diameter size hose so additional adapters should fit it easily. You will also need to check the length from your sink to your pool siting as we supply a 10m filling hose (33 foot approximatey).
* Please note we also need to hold a £150 security deposit for this hire, when booking. This can be paid by either cheque, credit or debit card. We will contact you for this seperately when receiving your order. This way it is not charged on your card only authorised. The deposit is refunded to you when your pool is received back in good condition.

PLEASE NOTE: You must sign for your pool as "damaged" on delivery. You will not offend the driver. It is an agreement we have with TNT as we do not expect pregnant Mums to inspect the goods before signing for them. Should you later discover any damages when you open it, we are able to make a claim, and send a replacment straight away. We are not able to do this if ou do not sign for it as damaged, and your deposit may be at risk

When booking a birthing pool or stool we will contact you within 24 hours of your booking to confirm the date and details of delivery. The delivery date can be changed to suit you. Please allow to be in all day, up until 6pm or until the pool arrives, they may delivery earlier but think of it as an excuse to stay at home and put your feet up!
