These heated pools are constantly booked out, so we strongly recommend you book your pool as soon as you have deicided on a waterbirth with a heated pool. These pools are already booked for July - call us to check availability on (01243) 265231/ (07891) 420383.
Why a heated pool? Heated Birthing Pools are ideal for Mums who are expecting a fast labour or who wish to have a pool set-up and ready to use in the weeks before birth. If you suffer with backache or SPD, it can be particularly beneficial to use.
The pools are larger than our non-heated ones and have wood panelling, padded rim, built in heater and filter system - also a lockable soft cover (very important expecially if you have other children or pets).
Due to the size of the pool this pool needs to be placed it on a solid stone/concrete floor - a conservatory is ideal. It weighs when full 1500kg, so not suitable for a wooden floorboarded floor.
This pool will take you approximately 35 minutes to assemble a little longer than our non-heated pools. To assemble, simply slot the panels togeather add the liner, conect the pipes and you are ready to fill. A full photo set-up guide is included for ease. Filling time will depend on your water flow rate. You can fill from cold but it will take at lot longer to reach constant temperature, so we recommend filling from your hot tap as much as possible (maximium 40 degrees). It could take 1-2 hours to fill. The temperature can be set to maintain it constantly. For birth the temperature needs to be 36-37 degrees but you can labour in the pool from 32 degrees if you wish. It is important not to overheat during pregnacy and labour.
We recommend having it in place and set-up from your 37th week, which is the earliest you can have a baby at home in most areas.
The filter and cleaning agents keep the pool clean during the weeks of use. New filters are fitted for each hire. The pool comes complete with an emptying pump and 10m hose. Complete instructions on how and when to use the cleaning agents/chemicals are also included. These are essential to keep the water clean. Water after 24 hours is not fresh and will start to grow bacteria, hence the need for the chemicals. This works in much the same way as a jacuzzi - although our pools don't have bubbles!
We can collect the pool next working day when you call or same day if you call before 11am Monday to Friday.

These heated pools are constantly booked out, so we strongly recommend you book your pool as soon as you have deicided on a waterbirth with a heated pool. You may pencil in a pool at any stage of your pregnancy with no obligation over the telephone. If you wish to make a firm booking, so the pool is booked out to you alone, i.e. cannot be booked by anyone else, then we do ask for a £80 security deposit over the telephone. This is refunded when your pool is returned to us after the birth in good order. If you are booking within 1 week before your shipping date, we ask for the full payment please so we can get your pool packed ready to go. Should you then need to cancel between this time and the date the pool is actually shipped because of a medical reason, eg you are no longer allowed to be at home for your birth, then we will guarantee to refund your balance but not the deposit as we may have lost bookings whilst the pool was booked out to you. If you book via our website you will need to pay the full balance so this pool is booked out to you immediately.

* We send the most universal tap adapters we can find. Should these not fit your chosen tap, we suggest trying your local DIY store for others. The hose we send is a standard diameter size hose so additional adapters should fit it easily. You will also need to check the length from your sink to your pool siting as we supply a 10m filling hose (33 foot approximatey).
* Please note we also need to hold a £80 security deposit for this hire, when booking. This is automatically added when you add this item to your basket.
