Buy an extra disposble liner for a trial run or relaxation in the weeks leading up to birth.
You can re-use the liners as many times as you like prior to birth, but the top liner needs to be replaced after trial runs etc, when it comes to birth. This is to aviod the risk of infection from bacteria on the old liner. Bacteria will grow in any wet conditions.
You are not at risk if your waters have not broken, but after that time a clean liner must be used. The underneath liner (two in place at all times) need not be replaced unless it is damaged.
In your birthing pool kit, you receive two liners for the birth, an extra one is advisable to buy if you plan to do a "wet" trial run or use it for relaxation. Doing a trial run is a good idea if only to familise yourself with how everthing works/goes togeather - particularly useful for the partnets to know! Light some candles, pour a glass of non-acholaholic wine, and relax! Delivered with your pool.
If you buy an extra liner and do not use, return it with your pool still sealed, for a full refund.
